![]() Stop reading steam forums, they are usually full of uneducated haters and losers. If anyone is still not sure, if they should buy it or not, here's my suggestion. Doesn't do anything particularly well in today's age, but it is an enjoyable experience. Overall, its a great game for fans of the original and for newcomers. I also really appreciate how they made Isaac have a voice from the very beginning, which adds a little more depth to the character and ultimately the setting itself. The sound design is greatly improved with the ambient noises and the voice acting. They're not bad by any means, but it goes to show you that they didn't do their best. After being treated to the visuals of Callisto Protocol, I can't help but feel a little disappointed with the graphics in the Dead Space remake. The graphics are excellent, but I have to say that Callisto Protocol set a very high bar for the graphics just a few months prior, despite being a worse game overall. Doesn't make it bad, but the jump scares and set pieces are incredibly predictable this many years later. This is for better and for worse, while the game is a ton of fun, it is such an honest remake to which it really does feel like you're playing an Xbox 360 game in regard to the gameplay. All in all, its a very true remake to the original game. I appreciate how they managed to pull over all gameplay mechanics from the original game while subtly improving with some of the modern day finesse. They definitely kept the spirit of the original game fully present in this remake. Everything about this remake is very well designed and everything was crafted from the ground up. ![]() All in all, its a very true remake to the A remake done right. ![]()
