Video Game: Persona 3 Portable Franchise: Megami Tensei Incarnations View all 13 versions of Elizabeth on BTVA. At the very least, it’s a move the firm’s accountants can smile about while sipping mojitos and watching Gossip Girl. Tara Platt is the English dub voice of Elizabeth in Persona 3 Portable, and Miyuki Sawashiro is the Japanese voice. Okay, maybe “genius” is a bit too strong. Released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006 and subsequent years in the West, Persona 3 received widespread critical acclaim, sweeping RPG awards and surpassing even Final Fantasy. Given how Persona fans tend to develop nearly romantic affection for the characters in these games, it’s a stroke of genius for Atlus to throw in this kind of fan service. Persona 3 was an immediate hit thanks to its memorable cast of characters. Though that means you won’t get to punch the protagonist for flirting with Chie, it seems you will be able to visit the Amagiya Inn, complete with a more youthful Yukiko - though presumably you’ll still want to choke her every time she laughs. Besides weapons, Persona 3 ’s combat is significantly deeper and more complicated in a way that some people might not find as approachable as Persona 5, but it a much bigger and more interesting puzzle. Instead of popping up right in the midst of P4‘s plot however, your character will be interacting with the town as it appeared two years before obese teddy bears started literally breaking the fourth wall. For those who love tons of menus and systems to navigate, this game is absolutely a winner. The games iconic style, incredible story, humorous cast, and emotional moments are beautifully remastered for modern platforms. Not much has been revealed on what sets the distaff option apart from her masculine counterpart, but, as Siliconera reports, it seems that at some point during her tale she can travel to Inaba, the sleepy burg featured in Persona 4. Persona 3 Portable ages like fine wine as an excellent JRPG that caters to handheld play sessions on Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. Theres a lot of polish missing from the original route because it was their first try at the whole 'half social sim' approach. The biggest difference between the PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of Persona 3 is that the portable iteration includes the option to play as a female character. If youre coming in from later Persona games, and youre going to be doing P3P regardless, you really ought to do the female protagonist route. Atlus really knows how to tug at our purse strings, huh? As if re-releasing Persona 3 in portable form wasn’t enough to ensure massive sales, the publisher also threw in cameos from the characters of Persona 4.
